We are delighted to have been shortlisted for a Shropshire Star Excellence in Business Award – something which is quite rare in the care industry.
As carers providing support to people across Shropshire and Staffordshire, we don’t often think of ourselves as the sort of business who wins awards but after hearing that the Shropshire Star were accepting nominations we thought why not!
So we told them all about the work we do, our amazing staff and even more amazing customers, and it turns out we have been shortlisted in the Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year category.
That means we get to don our posh frocks and suits at the awards ceremony which is being held at the Royal Air Force Museum in Cosford on 4th May.
Only three businesses are shortlisted in each category, so we are really pleased to have been chosen.
Why? Because we want to help bring a bit of positivity to the care industry.
It seems that every other news story in recent times has been about the adult social care crisis, and we accept that these are very difficult times for the sector.
But we think it’s vital that people understand that a lot of care companies, and carers in particular, are doing some fantastic work under very challenging conditions to deliver high-quality care services to the people who need them.
So by rubbing shoulders with the great and the good of Shropshire’s business world we want to show that the care industry can mix it with the best of them.
And win or lose at the awards ceremony on 4th May, we will be celebrating all that is great about Sentinel Care Services – our staff, and most importantly, our customers.
